The Dance Script


If You Can Say It, You Can Do It

Logic will get in the way when it comes down to the most important part of learning this choreography, which is to say the words. (Sometimes uttered with a variety of expletives, as in "Say the @#$% words" ) They may seem like nonsense syllables, and in fact they are, but the rhythm of the words make it possible for everyone-- you, your grandmother, your grandchildren, everyone--to learn the dance in time for our big flash mob on the Ajijic Plaza, October 27 at 2 PM. Perhaps an even better reason to commit them to memory is to avoid going blank on the big day As Choreographer Ines Markov says;
"It’s not your feet that trip you up, it’s your brain! Keep your brain working and your body will keep moving. It may seem strange or even difficult to talk while dancing, especially for those of you who have never done dance before, but we promise you:
If you  can say it, you can do it!"

1.Zombie March

These are the words that you say as you dance
As you step foward with the right foot, say:

(forward)right left right left

(take-it-back)right left right left

(to-the-front)right left right left

(take-it-back)right left right left


Use your right shoulder and say
 (fwd)shoulder step nothing step shoulder step shoulder step

 (back)shoulder step nothing step shoulder step shoulder step

(step) booty bounce (together) booty bounce 

(step) booty bounce (together) booty bounce 

swim together swim jump (hold)

swim together swim jump


  shuffle back hop hop forward

  turn look stare stare

  down ha down ha down ha down ha

  down clap slide slide slide stomp and shoulders look left

   right hip right hip right hip in out

   left hip left hip in and roar

   walk walk roar-turn roar-turn roar-turn

5. Wuz Up

    (forward on right leg)
