Zombie Digest

Wednesday's Zombie Horde proved that Saturday's successful practice was not a fluke. All the returning undead and lots of new Zombies, too, showed up at Hole in One, and really impressed. Everyone was dancing all the way through the routine by the time we broke up.Next practice is Saturday at the Cultural Center on Ajijic Plaza from 12:00 to 2:00. New Zombies are welcome, and there's plenty of time to learn the dance. Some good news from Pancho...he is going to let us use the upstairs at Hole in One to practice from now on. Farther from the traffic, closer to the drinks!

   Remember that any pledge of $1000 pesos or more automatically entitles the sponsor to a seat on the VIP balcony. Please let us know when you score a "whale" as we certainly don't want to overbook. And for the love of Mike, remember that a $50 peso donation is just as important. It all really adds up. If you don't have a pledge sheet let me know, I'll make sure you get one.

Halloween Makeup that is. I bought a creepy black lipstick, teeth, and fake blood kit for $20 pesos. There are also plenty of horrible masks and some wigs.

News of the Week

Headline: VIP seating for High Rollers! 

Any Zombie sponsor who coughs up $1000 pesos or more will have VIP access to the balcony of the Sport Bar for the performance and post party. It's first-come-first-served, so line up your "whales."

Headline: Welcome New Zombies!

    We had a great first workshop at the Ajijic Cultural Center on Saturday.  Forty new Zombies showed up and did an amazing job, learning the entire routine in one session, so there's still plenty of time to join in the fun. Saturday sessions will continue through the month of October. There will also be rehearsals every Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 at the Hole in One. Be sure to go upstairs for a cold drink afterward, as management there has always been a TTWAjijic supporter.

  We have 3 makeup artists on board now! Super Zombie Dee Grant brought in pictures of make-up that artist Ann Beil has done, and it was plenty scary looking. Just this morning Zombie Lorie emailed to let me know that she has a new recruit who is experienced in making people up to look like they've been in car wrecks, so that should be popular! The make-up people will be on hand on Thrill Day for appointments for $50 pesos each.

First Practice...We've got a great crop of Zombies this year!

I could not be more excited about the great turn out we had at the first practice today. We got through the whole routine in two hours, which is a Zombie first. Practices will continue on Wednesday at Hole in One at 5:00, and every Saturday at the Cultural Center at 12:00. It's never too late too join!
